Akamonkai was established in 1985 near “Akamon” of the University of Tokyo. We are an accredited incorporated educational institution since 2005. To date, we have educated over 20,000 graduates from 80 countries. After graduation, our students play an active role around the world, including Japan and their home countries.Currently, around 1,300 students from various countries are enrolled in Akamonkai.
As of April 2016, student nationalities are composed of 36% Chinese, 22% Vietnamese, 21% South Korean, 12% Western, 9% from other countries.
Convenient location close to airport, key downtown areas, and sightseeing spots of Tokyo
There are Nippori Station, Nishinippori Station, and Mikawashima Station near school buildings. These stations offer convenient access to the city center of Tokyo as well as the suburbs with several rail services available including JR Yamanote, Keisei Main Line, Nippori-Toneri Liner, Chiyoda Line, and Joban Line. It takes a mere 36 minutes from Nippori Station to Narita International Airport with the express train, Keisei Skyliner.
There are extensive scholarship programs without repayment obligations after graduation.
